Fore Noah 2011 is another success
May 2011 Dear Friends,
Thank you for your contribution towards the Seventh Annual FORE NOAH and Friends Charity Golf Tournament and Barbeque @ Longbow Golf Course, benefiting Children’s Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization.
The day was truly magical filled with morning golf, kid’s 3-hole golf challenge, kids’ golf clinic, barbeque, silent auction and raffle, and the Helicopter Ball Drop.
We captured some of the highlights of the day – enjoy the below links:

More than 325 guests attended FORE NOAH this year. Together with other generous contributors of our event, we generated over $60,000. All monies raised go to fund research that will help thousands of children battling neuroblastoma. Over the past 7 years of the tourney, we have raised a total of $435,000 for the cause. The Fore Noah tournament has become the 3rd largest annual fundraiser for CNCF so we all have made a significant impact. Our family is so thankful to be surrounded by such a supportive and giving community of friends.
With your assistance, we will continue to fight and perhaps find a cure for children’s neuroblastoma cancer.
With hope,
The Nelsons

7th Annual FORE NOAH Charity Golf Tournament and Family Barbeque
We are delighted to promote our Seventh Annual FORE NOAH Charity Golf Tournament on Sunday, May 1, 2011, benefiting Children’s Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. As they have every year, the McNichols of Longbow Golf Club will be donating their course for this worthwhile cause.
Pediatric cancer research has not received nearly as much funding as adult cancer research projects have. Therefore the $1,650,000 of funding provided by CNCF to the research community is significant in advancing neuroblastoma studies and bringing more drugs and agents into clinical trials. The financial support you and others have made to our event over the years, combined with this year’s goal of $65,000, will account for $435,000 used for research to find a cure for this pediatric cancer.
In addition to golf awards and a $20,000 hole-in-one contest, our family-oriented event will feature a silent auction, raffle, kids’ golf clinic, 3-hole kid's golf round, children’s activities, and a catered barbecue. Also, back by popular demand, we will have the helicopter ball drop and a chance to win a 50" 3D HD flat screen TV, an iPad 2, or $250 Westcor Gift Card. This year will also include a raffle opportunity to ride up in the helicopter during this year's ball drop.

Back in the Flow
Sorry it has been so long since the last update - it was a busy summer and a hectic first few weeks of school and activities. To sum it all up, we had a great summer and it was topped off with clean scans on our July visit to Sloan Kettering. Beyond clean scans, Noah continues to grow and develop much like a 10 should. We are doing a few follow-up tests here in Phx on his pulmonary function to ensure his breathing capacities are within normal range.
There have been some excellent childhood cancer awareness events over the past few months - including Stand Up for Cancer and National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month - including a $250K Pepsi grant currently in vote to help fund less toxic treatment options for children stricken by cancer. Please visit the below website and vote:

Both kids are playing soccer this fall and really looking forward to it. So far, Sarah is enjoying 2nd grade and Noah, 4th. Noah has also taken up Student Council, Cub Scouts, and band - no doubt, a busy schedule.
With hope and love,
The Nelsons
