Mission Accomplished!

We are still putting a bow on the the official numbers but I can say with confidence that we exceeded our 2008 fundraising goal of $75,000.  This year's event raised ~ $83,000!  Thanks to everyone - primary sponsors (Longbow and the McNichols family, Pay-Tech and Westcor), golfers, auction/raffle donors, monetary donors, Hole Sponsors, volunteers and committee members.  This is a HUGELY SUCCESSFUL effort and we hope that our $$$, coupled with other fundraising events benefitting CNCF, will generate the financial backing needed to find the silver bullet.  On top of all that, everyone seemed to be having a blast...and that is what our event is all about - raising money for Neuroblastoma research and having a great time doing it!

Tourney Countdown

Down the stretch they go!  We are nearing the Fore Noah finish line and our horse seems to be in full stride.  Congratulations - you all have successfully maxed out the golf tee sheet again this year - THANK YOU!  Unfortunately we've had to turn golfers away simply because we were at golf course capacity .  It's a great problem to have but it's still hard to do when people are wanting to give and support the cause.  We'd ask that those people still bring their families out to Longbow Golf Club because the BBQ, kids activities and auction/raffle portion of the day is a blast.  As of today there are 70+ kids attending.  We also have some great auction items on the table this year so prepare accordingly.

We are rounding up volunteers for various activities for day-off event.  If you'd like to participate, let us know (alnelson@cox.net) and we'll contact you with details shortly.

FORE NOAH 2008 and Easter Updates

The 4^th Annual Fore Noah Golf Tournament is less than a month away! A big THANK YOU goes out to those folks who have already donated / participated this year. We are off to a decent start to our 2008 fundraising efforts based on the current number of golfers and event participants already registered for the fun-filled day.  The tee sheet is filling up but we’d love to see 40 – 50 more golfers join us out there.  A major part of the event’s success lies in the Auction and Raffle – the more items we can put up for sale, the more money we can all raise. If you would like to donate an item or service to the Auction/Raffle, please contact us @ alnelson@cox.net.  Thanks in advance for helping us reach our goals for this year’s tournament.

Spring Break took the extended family on a trip to South Lake Tahoe. The kids had a blast learning how to snowboard and the adults enjoyed some great ski and snow conditions while the ‘little shredders’ were in snowboard school. Then it was straight from the slopes to NYC for Noah’s quarterly scanning/testing.  We just received news that Noah continues to be cancer free.  The little man is now nearing 3 years of clean scans – YES!  Consequently, the doctors are moving him from a quarterly schedule to 3X/year. We’ll also begin reducing the number of scans/procedures (radiation intake) from 4 to 2 every time we go.  Nothing but great news on the Noah front...
