$500,000 for Neuroblastoma Acheived!
Dear Friends and Relatives,
Thanks to you, our 8th Annual Fore Noah and Friends Golf Tournament was a big success. You contributed over $65,000 to the Children’s Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation (CNCF), specifically for research. Further, thanks to you and the many other supporters we have had over the eight years, a cumulative total of over $500,000 has been raised.
We wish to give a special thanks to Bob and Jane McNichols for donating their Longbow Golf Club for our event again this year and to PayTech and Westcor for their continued support. We are also very grateful for the many volunteers, committee members, and the Longbow staff who contribute their time and effort to make the event a success year after year.
One of the truly beautiful things that sets our event apart from many other charity events has been our focus on young families – and it stands to reason since neuroblastoma attacks too many of our young children. Hopefully, your dollars and those of our other wonderful supporters will be the ones used to find the cure to eliminate their suffering.
On behalf of the Nelson family and CNCF, our heartfelt thank you to everyone.

8th Annual Fore Noah & Friends Charity Golf Tournament
In this our Eighth Annual FORE NOAH and FRIENDS Charity Golf Tournament to be held on Sunday, April 29, 2012, our goal will be to reach a cumulative total of over $500,000 benefiting Children’s Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation. To reach that goal we will need to raise $65,000 this year. The McNichols of Longbow Golf Club will again be donating their course to help in our pursuit of that goal.
As most of you know, our son, Noah, was diagnosed in March 2005 with Stage IV, fully metastasized neuroblastoma - a rare and serious pediatric cancer that strikes 500 to 1,000 children in the U.S. each year. Noah underwent extensive chemotherapy, surgery and other therapies, and while still not considered cured, we are so thankful to report there has been no evidence of the disease for 6½ years. Sadly, too many children, some here in the Phoenix area, haven’t fared so well. We recently lost one of our friends, Ronan Thompson, age 4, on May 9, 2011. Ava Holder, age 4, has been battling for 3 years and is currently in a clinical trial in Texas. We are happy to report that Jack Morton, age 4, has been off treatment for a year and shows no evidence of the disease.
Unfortunately, pediatric cancer research has not received nearly as much funding as adult cancer research projects have. Therefore, the nearly $2 million of funding provided by CNCF to the research community is significant in advancing neuroblastoma studies and bringing more drugs and agents into clinical trials. More needs to be done!
Along with golf awards and a $20,000 hole-in-one contest, our family-oriented event will feature a silent auction, raffle, kids’ golf clinic, kids’ 3-hole golf round, children’s activities and a catered barbecue. The popular helicopter ball drop is also back with a chance to win cash prizes totaling $1,500. In addition, there will be the raffle opportunity to ride in the helicopter during the ball drop.
We are eternally grateful for everyone's past generosity however the fight to prevent or find a cure for children’s neuroblastoma cancer is not over and needs your continued goodness.

Fore Noah 2011 is another success
May 2011 Dear Friends,
Thank you for your contribution towards the Seventh Annual FORE NOAH and Friends Charity Golf Tournament and Barbeque @ Longbow Golf Course, benefiting Children’s Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization.
The day was truly magical filled with morning golf, kid’s 3-hole golf challenge, kids’ golf clinic, barbeque, silent auction and raffle, and the Helicopter Ball Drop.
We captured some of the highlights of the day – enjoy the below links:
More than 325 guests attended FORE NOAH this year. Together with other generous contributors of our event, we generated over $60,000. All monies raised go to fund research that will help thousands of children battling neuroblastoma. Over the past 7 years of the tourney, we have raised a total of $435,000 for the cause. The Fore Noah tournament has become the 3rd largest annual fundraiser for CNCF so we all have made a significant impact. Our family is so thankful to be surrounded by such a supportive and giving community of friends.
With your assistance, we will continue to fight and perhaps find a cure for children’s neuroblastoma cancer.
