Friends and Family,

Happy Thanksgiving. We have a lot to be thankful for this year. Noah continues to amaze us. He is doing well and is finishing up baseball season and moving on to basketball. Sarah just celebrated her 5th Birthday. We are chugging along in a normal life. We will all go to Sloan December 6-10th for Noah's full work up of scans, etc. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers during this time. We hope to see some of the Christmas sights while in New York and get in the Holiday spirit.

Please check out www.bandofparents.org  Many of our neuroblastoma family friends have joined together to raise money for research. During this holiday season, the band will be having a holiday fundraiser. The band will be selling gourmet cookies. It is the perfect gift and nearly all proceeds go the band of parents. It is a win for everyone.

What is the Band of Parents?
We are parents of children diagnosed with a cancer called neuroblastoma who want to help further the research and drug development desperately needed to save more children. Neuroblastoma is an “orphan” cancer; pharmaceutical companies are not developing new treatments because there is not a large enough patient base to make development profitable. Funding from the government is similarly limited. Time is running out for many of our children -- money stands between them and a cure.

As parents, we have banded together to increase public awareness about neuroblastoma and to raise funds for the development of novel therapies. We are working in partnership with a talented and dedicated team of doctors at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) who are fighting to save our children from this deadly disease.

Also this time of year is the Lunch for Life Christmas Tree. We are asking for a donation of just $5. The cost of a lunch. Please make the donation in the name of Noah and he will be entered for a chance to win a trip to Disney. www.lunchforlife.org/Donate.aspx

Unfortunately, many of our neuroblastoma friends have not been as fortunate over the last few months. We constantly hear of relapse and the passing of children. During this holiday season, please give to these wonderful organizations. Both the Band of Parents and Lunch for Life are working toward a cure by raising money for pediatric cancer research.
